Begin with a quick techniques session led by a professional driver to equip you with the skills and confidence for 8 adrenaline-pumping laps around the Cessnock track. With a qualified co-driver by your side offering guidance throughout, you can push the limits and make the most of every moment behind the wheel.

As the grand finale, swap seats and hold on tight for a heart-racing hot lap with a professional rally driver, showcasing the speed, precision, and excitement of rally racing from the passenger’s perspective. This two hour adventure offers a unique, high-octane alternative to the traditional wine tours the Hunter Valley is famous for. A manual driver’s licence is required for the full experience, but if you don’t have one, the Hot Lap Ride package is a thrilling alternative. Be sure to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes for comfort and safety during this unforgettable rally car adventure!

Exclusions
  • Photos and videos - All the cars have HD Video cameras installed. We provide access to our equipment and a high grade Media card, you can purchase this on the day for $50
Departure Location
  • This experience takes place at 44 Quarrybylong Street (Inside the HPOTS venue).
What To Bring
  • Long trousers
  • Closed in shoes - the floor of the car is often dirty and hot
  • Spectators also need to meet these requirements if they are deciding to purchase a 'Hotlap' on the day
Additional Information
  • Participants must be proficient with a manual transmission
  • You and your guests are very welcome to bring your own picnic lunch etc as there is plenty of room at all venues
  • There is a height restriction of approx 190cms (6’3”) as you will be wearing a helmet and there is a roll cage fitted in all our cars. There is a weight restriction of 130kgs as you need to fit into a moulded racing seat and harness. If you are both 190cm & 130kg you won't be able to safely fit. We can have taller people sometimes, but you need to be well under 100kg. Call the tour operator if you are uncertain. Final decisions are at the sole discretion of the tour operator
  • Your Spectators, guests and cheer squad are welcome! Guests can often purchase their own ‘HotLap’ for $50 (subject to availability on the day) and are able to stay with you in between your driving sessions. They can take photos and video footage of you from beside the track
  • No decisions are usually made regarding postponing days until after 7.30am on the day when an inspection of the track is carried out by out team. Please call the operator after 7.30am to see if the day will be running. We will also try and contact each participant to advise if the day is being postponed by SMS
Terms And Conditions
  • Minimum age is 17 years
  • You must produce a valid driving licence on the day (P-Plate or above)
  • Manual transmission experience is required
  • Maximum weight is 130kg and maximum height is 193cm
  • Please advise of any medical conditions/medications at the time of booking
Cancellation Policy
  • Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
  • Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
  • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

  • Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
  • Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
  • Mobile Vouchers are accepted! Vouchers can also be presented on your mobile device for this attraction
